General info
- CIRCUIT DAY - A track day is a non-competitive event on a closed circuit, open to all.
- PERSONAL PREPARATION - Make sure you are well rested, fit and hydrated. Leave your stress at home and enjoy the atmosphere on your chosen Petrolhead Day.
- REGISTRATION - Mandatory registration for all drivers and passengers, starts at 7:30 am.
- BRIEFING - All riders must attend this safety briefing before entering the track.
- WARMING-UP BASIC- 5 20-minute sessions of lead & follow to take your first steps towards perfect driving.
- WARMING-UP ADVANCED - 3 sessions of 20-minute lead & follow, 2 sessions of 20-minute free riding.
- SPORT - 5 20-minute sessions to take your skills to the next level at a fast pace.
- MINIMUM AGE - All drivers must be over 18 and hold a valid driving licence.
- PASSENGERS - Each passenger pays a daily fare of €85 per person, the minimum age being 16.
- PRIVATE COACHING - Professional race coaches are available, please enquire about our terms and conditions.
- ALCOHOL & DRUGS - Strictly prohibited!
- PIT BOXES - Can be hired for €150 a day at Zolder but must be booked in advance. At Spa, boxes are €350 per day.
- PHOTOGRAPHY - Photography is allowed in the spectator areas. Our official Petrolhead Days photographer will be present at each event, photos are free of charge.
- PRIVACY - If you don't want photos online, please let us know in the morning.
Clothing
- SAFETY & COMFORT - Dress comfortably so you can move freely and cover all limbs.
- RACING CLOTHING - Race suit and gloves are not compulsory, but we recommend them.
- SHOES - Only closed shoes are allowed, thin shoes will make you feel good on the pedals.
- CLOTHING FOR PASSAGERS - Something comfortable that covers the skin.
- HELMEN - Helmets are compulsory for everyone on track. There are no specifications for helmets.
Car
- TYPES - Petrolhead Thursday and Sunday is open to exclusive sports cars ( +300hp ) and classic sports cars.
- NUMBER - A maximum of 25 cars can run on the track at the same time.
- SAFETY - Wearing seatbelts is compulsory.
- Tyres - slicks are not allowed. Check the quality of your tyres and deflate them a little before going on the track.
- BRAKING - Better brakes mean better driving lines. Let your brakes cool down after each session.
- ENGINE - Make sure your coolant, fuel and oil are at the right level.
- FUEL - Cars can be refuelled at the circuit. Start your day with a full tank.
- SOUND RESTRICTIONS - No noise restrictions!
- WINDOWS & WASHERS - Keep your windows and wipers clean for maximum visibility.
- STICKERS - Are provided by the organisation and must be affixed to the windscreen, top passenger side.
- LIGHTS - All cars must have working lights, brake lights and indicators.
- TOWING EYES/HOOKS - Must be fitted before entering the track.
- CAMERAS - Filming your fast laps is allowed, make sure all cameras are securely attached.
Circuit rules
- FLAGS - Always respect the track commissioners and their flags:
- YELLOW: Safety zone, drive slowly and do not overtake
- GREEN: the session can be continued at normal speed
- BLUE: There is a faster rider behind you, let him pass.
- RED: Something has happened on the track, all drivers to the pits. End of your track session
- BLACK: You are disqualified, return to the pits immediately.
- RACING TECHNIQUES - Stay on the ideal racing line, faster cars will find their way around you. Drive with respect, dangerous drivers will be disqualified.
- CAR STORAGE - If your car breaks down on the track, always try to put it in a safe place next to the track. Stay in your car and wait for the officials.
Cars, drivers and/or passengers not complying with all the above will be denied entry to the track. No money will be refunded if any of these rules are violated.
